The max capacity is the max you can use for that container. I don't understand all the numbers but he said since I have a 24TB enclosure I can use half that, which is why it says Max 12TB on my VDIPOC container (5 used 7 left) I don't know if the max numbers change or not if you start filling them up or not. (meaning I don't know if my 12TB will shrink if I started using different folders).
Mounting a Nutanix container in Windows can be useful for transferring virtual. (Notice the size of the VM under the STORAGE column in PRISM, that. Once the disk descriptor is created you can delete the original file. At the end of sales training I went down to a empty conference room on the first floor of Nutanix HQ.

Just know what your max is and what is currently used the rest isn't important since it can be de-dup'd etc.I'm not sure how vCenter reads it and if its accurate or not. I'd watch it in Prism to be safe.

I was given a Nutanix cluster with 2 blocks (8 nodes) to learn about the product, features and interoperability. During the installation and configuration process I recorded a video to demonstrate how simple and easy Nutanix really is.In the of this series I demonstrated how I quickly switched Nutanix Hyper-V to vSphere. In the I demonstrated how to create a brand new cluster and how Nutanix uses IPv6 Neighbor Discovery Protocol (Bonjour) to identify nodes and blocks available to initialize a cluster. In the I demonstrated how to create a Nutanix Storage Pool and Container using the Nutanix PRISM UI.This video demonstrates how simple and easy is to add a new node or multiple nodes to a Nutanix cluster!Watch in 720P (HD)This article was first published by Andre Leibovici (@andreleibovici) at myvirtualcloud.net.
